Because Karunt wants it to be the wrong way. Is that too much to ask?

Traditionally, the KGB has used a backwards powercat in our logo. We've never really required posters to use the backwards powercat, but it makes sense to get it right for Mother-Lan, since it's kind of our heritage LAN.

For those that don't know, way back in 2004  Mother-Lan was the first official KGB LAN though it wasn't called Mother-Lan back then.

You can see the backwards powercat in the original kgb wallpapers in the downloads section. Also, the KGB shirts also feature the backwards powercat.

PS: Check out the original KGB home page.

just pokin fun.

as for the poster, i think the "mother lan" lettering should be bigger, and --if possible-- more crazy ruskie-lookin.   (can't the H and the A be KGB-i-fied?)
regardless, i'm happy to see this early entry.  that's cool.

Actually, the first official KGB LAN was called Alpha LAN, and it was August of 2003.
One of the most successful campus events, drawing in over 100 people in that tiny conference room. That was back when CS, UT2k3, and Q3 were the games of choice.

Ah the good ol' days.  And if you all want to know why the powercat is backward...ask Reap he's the one that started it.  8)

I kind of like the last one myself with the xtra smudging effect like we have some over used 20 year old rubber stamps  8)

The only change I would suggest is to change it from Computer Video Games to just Video Games or maybe Console & Computer Games since I'm fairly certain that there will be at least one or two consoles setup on projectors.

Thanks for the early submissions!

well yeah, I would love to change them, the thing is I can't... firstly 'cus I lost my flash drive at the time I did them, so I can't work on it at home. secondly if I had them on my flash drive I still wouldn't be able to work on them because Agent of wrath, my bro, took my adobe cs2 installers and my dvd drive, so I'm craped out of luck  :arrowed

yeah yeah, i need to burn a copy and mail them back to you. and thatd be MY dvd drive, go buy/steal your own. and you do have the internet, you know, the birth place of a friends network to borrow programs to try them out and see if yo wan to buy them.

also, why the devil do you make your pics pngs? large waste of file compacity, expecially if your just throwing them up on the web.
